
Carmen Pavlov
Masters Student
Carmen (she/her) is a MSc student in Geography at the University of Victoria (UVic), focusing her research under the project “Carbon Under Canadian Forests: Why Soils Matter.”Carmen completed her undergraduate degree at UVic in 2021, majoring in coastal geography and environmental studies. She also holds a professional certificate in management and leadership from Royal Roads University. Since graduating from UVic, she has been working with Victoria based non-profits and Indigenous communities, developing and leading community-driven programs in partnership with diverse stakeholders. Carmen lives in Victoria and enjoys spending her free time freediving and photographing cute marine animals like nudibranchs. She also loves ballet, hiking, reading, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her dog and partner!
