Madison Ashton
Honours Student
Madison Ashton (she/her) is currently a fourth-year undergraduate geography student at the University of Victoria. Madison also works at a small craft-chocolate retailer called The Chocolate Project in Victoria, BC. With the help of Dr. Sophia Carodenuto, she is combining her love of chocolate and protecting the environment. Originally focused on climate change, she hopes to make lasting impacts in the craft-chocolate industry that will heal natural ecosystems and help support cacao growers. Madison is currently assisting UVIC Aspiration postdoc Lucy Hinton on her research project studying the cocoa supply chain and her own research project focusing on how craft-chocolate makers can further support the cacao growers they buy from.
